What kinds of burn cases do we review?
We review burns and injuries from home fires and products such as mattresses, lithium-ion batteries, space heaters, pressure cookers and fuel-burning appliances.
Mattress fires
Federal rules set flammability standards for mattresses exposed to a lit cigarette or an open flame. We look at whether yours met them.
Lithium-ion battery fires
E-bikes, scooters, hoverboards, phones and power banks that overheat, catch fire or explode.
Space heater fires
Heaters that tip, overheat, or ignite nearby materials even when used as directed.
Pressure cooker and scald burns
Lids that open under pressure and spray hot food or liquid.
Carbon monoxide
Poisoning from faulty furnaces, heaters, water heaters and other fuel-burning appliances.
How product claims work
Design defects, manufacturing defects and missing warnings, explained plainly.
How can a burn injury lawyer help?
Every case is different. Depending on the facts, a lawyer may help preserve the product and the scene, consult fire-cause and engineering experts, look into which companies may be responsible (such as the maker, importer, or seller), handle communications with insurers, and pursue a claim when one is warranted.
